Jean Kark is a licensed massage therapist in the Lancaster, Pa area. She loves her career because of the opportunity it gives her to touch and enrich the lives around her. She graduated from the Lancaster School of Massage in 2012 where she studied Swedish, Lymphatic and Sports Massage, Reflexology, Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Therapy.She furthered her study with Liddle Kiz Foundation, where she became certified in pediatric massage and autism and earned two certifications in myoskeletal alignment from the Freedom From Pain Institute. Jean graduated from HACC in 2014 with an associates in Health Science degree. She finds learning new skills and taking continuing education classes to be rewarding and satisfying both personally and to her career.
Since obtaining her massage license, Jean has enjoyed working with a people from all walks of of life, including a large clientele of individuals with special needs, such as autism, elderly concerns, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. She has a passion for sharing her gift as a traveling therapist for individuals who experience difficulties in traveling. Jean also works with clients in her home studio, where she incorporates myoskeletal alignment techniques, aroma therapy, craniosacral work and reflexology with Swedish massage to create a healing and relaxing experience for her clients.
Jean enjoys volunteering her services for good causes. She has offered chair massage for the past two years at fund raising events with The Tommy Foundation and at community events, such as, The Polar Run and The Womenʼs Expo.
When not massaging tight and tired muscles, Jean enjoys hiking and preparing for marathon length trail events, gardening, reading and spoiling her 2 cats. She and her husband are adjusting to a new empty nest and with her children scattered afar, Jean is beginning to find a love of traveling, to add to her hobbies. She always enjoys meeting new people and helping them through bodywork focused on their individual needs.
